Dallas news story details importance of SCID Newborn Screening

WFAA in Dallas/Fort Worth featured the story of the Freeman family whose two sons are diagnosed with Severe Combined Immune Deficiency. The family knew to look for Severe Combined Immune Deficiency in their second son because of the family history.  Now they are glad to know that other families will have the chance for early treatment as a result of SCID newborn screening.  Newborn screening for SCID began in Texas on December 1, 2012.   The full story and video can be viewed at the link below.
